[Announce] Sat, April 7 BOAT MOVING, Kayak Polo, Funding Committee Landside Action

Hi All,

1)	Boat moving, Saturday, April 7, 4PM. Oh, how exciting. We will,
however, have coffee and donuts or muffins. Cars and drivers needed.
Meet at 4601 5th Street (corner of 5th Street and 46th Avenue). It’s a
small move, from Plaxall’s meat building to another, even better,
Plaxall space facing directly onto the East River. The new space will be
shared with the World Boatbuilding Museum workshop. Right now the floor
plan is complicated a bit by gymnastic equipment stored there at the
moment, so we’ll bring boats into the unused adjacent space for now.

New York Kayak Polo Spring Splash at Brooklyn Brewery

Date: Saturday, April 14
Time: 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Location: Brooklyn Brewery. 79 N. 11th St, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Transit: Subway L to Bedford Ave (1st stop in Brooklyn), walk from N.
7th to N. 11th St., turn left towards the river, walk 1.5 blocks to the
brewery.

New York Kayak Polo (http://nykayakpolo.org/) is hosting a fundraiser
party at the Brooklyn Brewery. All paddlers and friends are welcome;
come celebrate the start of the season!

Event will feature video and slideshow from many paddlers; raffle prizes
from local stores, restaurants, and organizations; socialize with old
friends and meet new paddling partners.

Cost: $10 basic admission includes 1 beer, 1 slice of pizza; $20 booster
admission includes 2 beers, 2 slices, 1 raffle ticket. Additional beers
/ slices $4. Raffle tickets: $5 each, 5 for $20.

3)	What landside activities would you enjoy through the boathouse? We’re
looking for fun and informative, low-commitment ideas like individual
lectures (not formal courses), films, waterfront bike tours, etc. Email

4)	Funding committee forming. Please email erik at licboathouse.org if
you’d like to join a committee to ensure we get the grants and
sponsorships needed to continue our boathouse’s success!
