[Announce] Citibank grant -- photos. Also, help local kids and moms tomorrow morning?

Ahoy'All,

We're applying for another Citibank CB2 Amenities grant and we could 
sure use some photos of the Citi Hussar, especially at work with kids 
in Hallets Cove. Barring that, any good photos of our children's 
program in Hallets Cove would be great. Could you please email them 
tonight or this weekend to:

Also, while on the phone with Pat Edwards, the executive in charge of 
community outreach in this area (and a font of positive energy), she 
informed me that her Citibank employees were participating in a 
volunteer day at LIC's own Hour Children 
(http://www.hourchildren.org/). Hour Children cares for kids whose 
mothers are in prison and for both released mothers and kids as they 
work toward that key transition to a better life. All they want us to 
do is help paint, clean, and do other such maintenance tasks.

The exact address is below, but you'll find them bustling about on 
12th Street, just south of 36th Avenue.

Last year I had a great time doing this simple but necessary labor -- 
sterilizing high chairs, draining the above-ground pool tarp, building 
cribs, fixing toys, carrying assorted heavy things. I'll be there from 
9-1030AM, before participating in the trial Tour de Queens in support 
of the Parks Dept and Partnerships for Parks. But others can certainly 
stay up until 3PM, when the day's work ends. I'll also try to schedule 
another volunteer day if others are interested.
