LICCB is inviting all persons who have volunteered with at least one event this season (Hallet’s Cove, a Chill paddle, work party, or a special project) to one of two trips on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day). Please RSVP to Steve Ellis, steve.ellis@mountsinai.org. If requests for either trip exceed available space, paddlers will be selected in order of RSVP. Guests (non-Volunteers) will only be accommodated by special request and volunteers receive priority.


Morning trip: Double Circ – Millrock and Ward’s Island. North to Millrock, rest in the cove on the north end of Millrock (landings are not permitted there), continue through Hellgate at slack water, go through Bronx Kill, around Ward’s Island, return via the Harlem River. Meet at boathouse at 9:30, leave dock by 10:30, at Millrock 11:30, depart Millrock 11:45, around Ward’s Island about 12:45, back at boathouse 2PM.

Afternoon/evening trip: Bushwick Inlet and Brooklyn Bridge. Meet at Boathouse at 4:00PM (many boats will be at the dock already) leave dock by 16:30, paddle south to Bushwick Inlet, continue to Brooklyn Bridge arriving 18:15 or so. Slack at BB is 18:55. Leave BB 19:30, possible U Thant circ, back at boathouse by 21:00, leave boats at dock for Tuesday paddle, all wrapped up by 10PM.
