Paddling Season in Full Swing: 3 events planned for the first weekend of June
Three paddling events are planned for the first weekend of June. We’re opening our evening series with the earliest ever Friday Night Chill paddle, June 4. This outing is already fully subscribed. The tides are not favorable for either a north or south destination, but that gives us a great opportunity to show some of our guests how to buck the current. If you requested this trip and were not selected, watch our calendar and try again — we will be adding more Weds, Thurs and Fri evening trips.
We will be running our third Anable Basin to Hallets Cove one-way trip of the season on Sunday June 6. If you request and are selected for this Sunday’s trip, note that the meeting time is 11:00 AM. Volunteers helping with this trip are asked to arrive by 10:45AM. We expect to have everyone paddling by the time the tide begins to flood right at Noon. And we expect to introduce a lot of people to the fun of paddling in the East Channel.
The hours for public walk-up paddling at Hallets Cove will be extended this Sunday June 6, starting about 1PM and accepting walk-up paddlers until about 5:30PM. We will paddle back to Anable this week, departing at 6PM when the tide begins to ebb. We’re looking forward to another banner day at Hallets and to introducing many people to the joy of human powered boating.
