It’s getting into the lazy hazy crazy days of summer, about to be pretty hot.  Now is the perfect time to come out and play on the water with us!  We’ve got 5 Easy Paddles ready to go, in and around Anable Basin.  These will be mostly floating, bobbing, taking in the sights.  Great for photo opps–take some pix to send to your friends in faraway places–or nearby places, to inspire them to some adventure!

Daytime paddle around noon Saturday June 30 has you softly paddling but mostly bobbing up and down on the water, taking pictures of your friends near awesome landmarks and lovely scenery, classic NYC backdrops available!  Skyline, Pepsi sign, the historic LIC Gantries.

Saturday evening features a circumnavigation of Roosevelt Island, easy and breezy with gentle current in our favor both ways during slack tide.  Come for the dimming of the day and the city lights coming up.  Fun!

Sunday’s activities July 1st involve your hosts, the volunteers of the LICCB, welcoming you to our boathouse and Anable Basin with food and drink and 3 mini-tours.  We won’t go fast or far on the water, mostly we’ll hang out and  relax around the boathouse and the dock.  We’ll be there from about noon until 7, with the trips thrown in and the festivities taking the shape of the people who wish to contribute and participate.  A late afternoon barbeque will get going from 4-7pm.

Come on out and enjoy the hot weather this weekend with Lazy Dog paddles, relaxation and fun.  Welcome summer!

For more details about the trips and to sign up, go to the Calendar and follow the instructions.  Relaxed enrollment conditions are in effect for the lazy weekend, so if you miss the sign up window, just show up and you may be a lucky dog!  Come play and volunteer.

Thanks for all you do.  We love you!
