Our walkup kayaking events are open to the public.  All ages and skill levels are welcome including participants under 18 when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Volunteers are highly appreciated at walkups at Hallets Cove, Anable Basin, Stuyvesant Cove and Gantry Plaza.  Volunteering with the LIC Boathouse is easy and fun!

When you do volunteer at our walkup events, be sure to visit the waiver table and fill out the Volunteer Attendance log.  Also sign out before you leave. The hours are flexible: Even an hour or two are helpful. Just check the boathouse calendar, show up and talk to one of our folks in the pink tee shirts.
