This is a moderately easy outing suitable for adults with little or no paddling experience. All participants must be 18 or over and able to swim. Pets are not allowed on this river trip but may join you on a boat at Hallets Cove between 6PM and sunset. Actual time on the water will be about one hour. Come to Vernon Blvd and 31st Avenue (just north of Socrates Sculpture Park) for free kayaking or canoeing. No reservation, no experience needed. All ages are welcome, but minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants must be able to swim. Wear clothing and footwear that can get wet. Enjoy a leisurely NIGHT paddle from Hallets Cove (Vernon Blvd at 31st Ave) to our Anable Basin boathouse (46-01 5th St). Please note that this is a one way trip that ends two miles south of where it begins. Actual time on water should about one hour. Bring a windbreaker, as it may be cool after the sun goes down. Thu July 30, 5:30p – 8:30p, Walkup Rowing at Anable Basin with Village Community Boathouse
Walk up rowing with the Village Community Boathouse at Anable Basin Thursday July 30th weather permitting. Please arrive 5:30p – 6p. We will row in the basin and possibly onto the river depending on the skills of the rowers till the sun sets. Please dress comfortably, no prior experience necessary. No registration required. PFDs (lifejackets) will be provided. Seating will be on a first come basis.

Sun Aug 1, 9a – 8p, Volunteers Circumnavigation of Manhattan Island!
VOLUNTEERS ONLY (each volunteer may bring one guest to pair with in the same boat). This extraoardinary trip is an LICCB tradition. It is absolutely not for everyone. Participants must have both adequate paddling skill and endurance for this all day trip. When requesting this paddle, please explain why you believe you are capable of this trip. There will be at multiple shore breaks. Safety, as always, is paramount and all participants are expected to cooperate and stick together throughout the trip. Each participant is solely responsible for his/her own safety. Qualified paddlers with their own boats may be allowed to accompany us at the discretion of the event organizers.
