Special Hallets Cove walk up paddling hours this week, 2:30PM to 7PM. We’re doing this to suit the tide, avoiding muddy low tide and to enable paddling of the boats to and from the cove and not have to use the trailer.

Sunday Paddle trip opportunities: First trip will meet at the Anable Basin Boathouse (46-01 Fifth Street) at noon, paddle around in front of Gantry Park and the giant Pepsi Sign, then proceed north to Hallets Cove by 2:30. Second trip begins at Hallets Cove (31st Ave and Vernon Blvd.) at 7PM to explore Mill Rock and Hell Gate at slack tide, then proceed south to the Anable Basin Boathouse by 9PM. Both river trips are for adults only (18 yrs of age minimum).  To request one or two seats on either of these trips,  send an email to LICboathouse@gmail.com , put Sept 5th noon trip or 7PM trip in your subject line, specify one seat or two. You can expect a reply before Sunday morning. In case these trips do not fill up, walk ups may be accepted on a first come basis.  Note that both are one way trips. You must arrange your own transportation from the destination, or sign up for both trips!
