Greetings from LIC Boathouse, After a long and nasty winter, we hope you are ready to get back onto the water!   It’s a new season with lots of updates, ways to get involved, and fun! Join us for the 1st un-wintering of the Boathouse this Tuesday, April 29th, 2014, from 8:30am until 1:30pm.  You can come and stay the whole day, or take a shorter shift if that's what you have available. The Friends Seminary in Manhattan is doing their National Day of Service.  This has kids setting out all over the city to help organizations like ours get spiffy for spring and summer.  We have a nice group of 8th grade students coming over to Long Island City for the 4th year in a row to help us shake the cold off, wipe the dust [...]
