Once again the Long Island City Community Boathouse participated in the harbor wide celebration of our island status by sending a flotilla down to Governor's Island from Anable Basin, and stayed all day, and spent the night, and came back the next day having done a fun thing that's all about figuring out how to co-exist with our water. It was City of Fire day, unofficially, as participants witnessed some notable flame and smoke incidents on the Brooklyn Bridge Pier and the South Street Seaport! It's getting into the lazy hazy crazy days of summer, about to be pretty hot.  Now is the perfect time to come out and play on the water with us!  We've got 5 Easy Paddles ready to go, in and around Anable Basin.  These will be mostly floating, bobbing, taking in the sights.  Great for photo opps--take some pix to send to your friends in faraway places--or nearby places, to inspire them to some adventure!
